How do I find out my gift in ART?
I had double bachelor’s degrees in nursing and Marketing in China and decided to learn nursing again in Australia because I loved nursing and I was very interested in palliative care in Australia. I made it and work as a registered nurse in Melbourne now. However, I feel bored working day by day and want to explore my other skills. Friends around me are so kind and give me advice. I did try many things before I found out my passion in Art. I did learn guitar, piano, dancing, and writing, but I was not able to insist on it. One day, I saw one of my friends doing painting. I thought why not do one more try and start to do a painting from July 2022.
I did not know how to do a painting from the beginning, which was the same as all the beginners, and just put the color on what I wanted. I could not get a great job. I have many friends around me who are good at painting and some of them have been painting for over 10 years. One of them recommended I do some copypainting to build up my skills. I did try one piece but I do not like it at all. I gave up on using copy painting to improve my painting skills. I started to learn by myself and ignored the rules and principles of using color. As you can see, I just took 6 months to create my painting style. I never thought I would open an art studio at that time, and I treat painting as a personal hobby, a way to relax.
I could do painting for the whole day, and forgot the time and hunger. I remember I did five pieces of wall paintings in my house in a day and forgot to have meals. I never have such a huge passion in any other things but art. It sounds a bit crazy, but I felt happy after doing the painting and did not feel tired at all.Also, I feel so grateful to meet one of my good friends as he is so positive about life. I asked him many stupid questions but he always maintained patience and encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone. He encouraged me to open an art studio, to sale my artwork, and share my skills with people who love painting as well.I wish my story could encourage you to find out your potential skills. I wish to see you one day in my art studio
Never put yourself in a box. Life is a game. Enjoy your life which is priority than any others.
